While filming for his new movie “Rust”, Alec Baldwin accidentally shoots a film crew member and wounded the movie director, Joel Souza.


The crew member was identified as Halyna Hutchins, 42. No charges have been filed and are still under investigation.

According to CNN, Halyna Hutchins was flown to a hospital via helicopter and pronounced dead by medical personnel at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

While Director Joel Souza, 48 was rushed to Christus St. Vincent’s Regional Medical Center by an ambulance.


In a report by New York Times, spokesman for the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office Juan Rios said the shooting happened in the middle of a scene that was either being rehearsed or filmed.
