This friendship formed between a pigeon and a chihuahua is something really unique. Because they both lack something fundamental in their lives.
Meet Lundy, a two-month-old Chihuahua who is having difficulty walking due to his spinal cord injury.
Mia Foundation in New York took him in after his breeder found he is struggling to walk.
According to Sue Rogers, founder and owner of the foundation, their main goal is to take in animals born with birth defects.
Herman, a flightless pigeon who has been with the foundation for quite a while now time, gave Lundy a very warm welcome.
The two “started interacting immediately in a very cute way” when Rogers put them on the same dog bed.
Since then they have been inseparable and enjoy spending time snuggled up on their favorite fuzzy blanket.
Right now, Lundy will have to skip all the normal puppy activities because he’s weighing only one pound and will have to wait for the chair.
Fortunately, Herman is there to keep him company while he recovers. Friendship goals indeed!
