Parents will do anything for their children.

Just last month, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that Luzon will be under an enhanced community quarantine.

Everyone is encouraged to stay home to not get infected, and to slow down the spread of the virus in the country.

However, staying home while in a lockdown is not as easy and fun as it seems. Especially now that it is Summer Season in the country.

Our plans to go to the beach have to be rescheduled for the time being. I know a lot of us are disappointed, especially the kids!

But this father from Nagcarlan, Laguna came up with a way for his children to still go for a swim, despite the enhanced community quarantine.

On Facebook, Roslyn Manila shared photos of her husband, Francis, making an improvised swimming pool for their kids.

Francis said that originally, they had a plan of going on an outing for the summer vacation. But, due to the pandemic, they cancelled it.

“Naisip ko po na gumawa nitong banana pool para sa mga anak ko, kase gusto nila sana mag-swimming eh dahil lockdown, sabi ko dito na lang tayo sa bahay. Gawa nalang ako,” Francis said. (I thought of making a banana pool for my kids, because they really wanted to swim. But because of the lockdown, I told them I’ll just make one)

As a matter of fact, the couple only spent 180 PHP for the makeshift pool.

“Lahat po ng magagawa ko para mapasaya ang mga bata gagawin ko.” (Anything that will make my kids happy, I will do it)
