After being admired around the world for passing eight Ivy League Schools in America; Filipino-American Craig McFarland chose Harvard University to continue his studies.
Craig McFarland, the Filipino-American who passed all eight Ivy League Schools is choosing to study in Harvard University.
He said he’s choosing among the courses molecular and cellular biology, linguistics, and biomedical engineering.
He said, “The thought that I’m going to the best university in the world is just insane, especially given my background, from where I came.”
The teenager had previously said that he would study at Yale University but he moved to Harvard and one of the factors was the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said, he said, he chose Yale University because of its good on-campus activities and campus life but because of the pandemic, the class will be online so he chose Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts because it is closer to those close to him – friends and family living in Boston.
It is a big thing to pass at least one of the Ivy League Schools but to pass all eight Ivy league Schools is an achievement that few can do.
Ivy League Schools a group of long-established colleges and universities in the eastern US having high academic and social prestige.
It include Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University.
McFarland is a straight-A student and graduated as a class valedictorian at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacsonville, Florida.
He is the son of Donabel Santiago from the Philippines. Santiago, a registered cardiac sonographer is a single mom.
