Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania – Inspired by her husband, Emily Seilhamer spent her four years making a dress out of Starburst candy wrapper.
Emily is an artist who collected over 10,000 candy wrappers, organizing the colors and ironing each wrapper before folding it.
After the tedious task, Seilhamer would sew them together using elastic thread.
Netizens went in awe after hearing the story behind the Starburst candy.
Seilhamer in her article revealed that when she and her husband first met, he offered her a Starburst candy.
“My husband and I met when he offered me a pack of Starburst a few years before the project started.” She added that it’s her husband’s favorite candy. “He began to save grocery bags full of wrappers for me. The dress had a nice spot next to the gift table at our wedding almost 2 years ago”
She then completed her looks with matching shoes and a corsage.
