The Philippine showbiz industry heavily relies on love teams.

Unlike in other countries, the Philippines have what they call “love teams”. It is when on-screen couples are contracted to work together for numerous projects.

Over the years, we have been blessed with love teams who turned from on-screen to off-screen lovers.

Millennials have DongYan, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera who ended up together and now have a beautiful family.

Generation Z have LizQuen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil) and KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) who became real-life lovers as well.

However, not all great love teams become real. Some remained or chooses to be just friends. But, it does not make them any less greater.

Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz, former powerhouse love team, had fans swooning when they took to Instagram the other night to catch up on each other.

Love teams may be great but they have an expiration, as actors need to work with others for career growth. That is why this JLC-Bea interaction feels so nostalgic.

Millennials were and are in love with their 2007 movie “One More Chance“. Arguably, it is one of the best Filipino movies ever existed. And their characters, Popoy and Basha, have become a part of the Pinoy pop culture.

After exchanging lines from their hit projects, the conversation becomes serious when John Lloyd told Bea something really sweet.

“Nandoon ka noong kailangan ko ng kausap. Pag binalikan ko ang lahat ng yan, minsan di ko na alam kung ano pa tayo eh…kung sino tayo. Pero okay lang, kasi ang mahalaga ay yung nandoon ka. Yun lang sapat na.” John Lloyd told Bea. (You were there when I needed someone to talk to. When I look back to all of it, sometimes I wonder what are we, who are we. But that’s okay, what’s important is you were there. And that is enough)

Bea then asked John Lloyd playfully where the dialogue was from. John Lloyd said, “No. I just wanted to say that.”

Fans of the powerhouse love team, couldn’t hide their kilig on Twitter.

Here are some of the best tweets I’ve found:

As a reference to a popular line from their movie, “Sana kayo parin. Kayo nalang. Kayo nalang ulit.” *tears*
