A significant project was launched by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Barangay Banilad of Nagcarlan in Laguna.
They will replace plastic bottles brought by the kids from their barangay with school supplies.
On SK Barangay Banilad’s Facebook post, they shared a photo of a small stall with a signage ‘Palit-Plastic Bottle Sari-sari Store.’
It is where the kids will suppose to take their plastic bottles, and have them exchanged for school supplies.
“Proyektong pang-edukasyon at pangkalikasan! Kapalit ng plastic bottle n’yo ay mga school supplies para sa nalalapit na pasukan,” the caption says. (A project for education and nature! Plastic bottles in exchange of supplies)
According to the post, you can exchange two bottles for one notebook or one pencil. One bottle for one sharpener. Four bottles for 1 box of crayons.
A lot of netizens commend the SK Chairman coming up with a worthwhile project. Because not only it will help save the environment, it will also help families save up a little more.
